Francisco Curbera

Francisco Curbera is an accomplished leader in AI and blockchain technologies, currently serving as the AI Platform Innovation Lead at Swift since March 2023, where responsibilities include designing and productizing AI infrastructure for fraud solutions in international payments. Previously, Curbera held the Director role for Blockchain in Healthcare and Life Sciences at Merative and IBM, focusing on implementing blockchain strategies and innovative solutions in healthcare. Spanning over two decades at IBM, Curbera advanced through various roles, driving significant developments in AI, blockchain, and middleware technology, including the creation of the Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) model. Curbera holds a PhD in Computer Science from Columbia University and a BS in Physics from Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
