Varun Mehra has a diverse work experience spanning across various roles and companies. Varun is currently the Head of Product Design at Swifteam (YC S20) since December 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Product Designer II at Smartsheet from January 2022 to November 2022. From April 2020 to December 2021, they were a UX Designer at TISTA Science and Technology Corporation. Before that, they served as a UX Designer at Infosys from August 2019 to March 2020. Additionally, Varun has also worked as a UI Designer at CINFRAFOR, where they designed and developed a website and created interactive data visualizations from April 2018 to July 2019. Varun has also gained experience as a Student Facilities Coordinator at the University of Washington from September 2015 to April 2018. Varun's work as a UI/UX Designer at RoadCast involved shipping an Enterprise Software and conducting UX research, while their role as a UI/UX Design Intern focused on designing and developing new features for RoadCast Technology Solutions' products. Varun has also served as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Washington's Human Centered Design & Engineering department, where they conducted user research and led workshops for K-12 students on ideation, prototyping, and programming.

Varun Mehra completed their primary schooling at Delhi Public School - R. K. Puram from 2001 to 2015. Varun pursued a science-focused curriculum, with a particular emphasis on Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Computer Science (PCMC). Following this, from 2015 to 2019, Varun attended the University of Washington, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree (BS) with a specialization in Informatics, focusing on Human Computer Interaction. Lastly, in 2019, they pursued a Technical Certificate in Strategic Design from the Rhode Island School of Design.
