Jesus Rodriguez

Jesus Rodriguez has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Currently, they serve as a Senior Principal Software Engineer at Swiftline Corp starting in December 2022. Jesus is also a member of the Operator Framework Steering Committee at the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) since July 2022.

In the past, Jesus has held various roles at Red Hat. From November 2009 to November 2022, they were a Principal Software Engineer, serving as the CNCF Operator Framework Chair and leading the Operator SDK team. Prior to that, from April 2004 to February 2010, they were a Senior Software Engineer, taking on responsibilities such as project leader for Spacewalk and lead developer for Red Hat Network's web team.

Outside of the software industry, Jesus was a Coach at Franklin Wake Soccer from August 2008 to May 2015, coaching youth soccer and coordinating weekly practices. Jesus was also a Senior Software Engineer at HAHT Commerce from March 2000 to March 2004, where they led the development of a new J2EE architecture and designed and developed B2B applications.

Earlier in their career, Jesus worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Lockheed Martin from March 1996 to March 2000, developing C++/CORBA and Java-based applications. Jesus also worked as a Lab Technician at Ritz Camera Centers from 1988 to 1995, responsible for film processing and photo printing.

Furthermore, Jesus gained early work experience as a Pre-professional co-op at IBM from June 1994 to December 1994, where they created an application test bed for the OS/2 Warp operating system and developed test applications for IBM's C Set++ C++ class library.

Jesus Rodriguez completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, from 1989 to 1995. Jesus also attended Parkdale High School, although the specific dates and any degrees or field of study from this institution were not provided. In terms of certifications, Jesus obtained the Red Hat® Patent Program Inventor - Level 2 from Red Hat in October 2022. Jesus also obtained the Red Hat Certified Engineer certification in January 2008. Additionally, they were a speaker at the KubeCon + CloudNativeCon Europe event organized by The Linux Foundation in May 2022.
