Soumya Simanta

Soumya Simanta is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in machine learning and data platforms. Currently serving as Vice President of Marketplace, Data and ML Platforms at Swiggy since December 2018, Soumya is responsible for developing advanced ML and data systems that manage vast amounts of data and enable real-time decision-making. Prior experience includes an Architect role at Ola from October 2015 to November 2018, where Soumya produced platforms for machine learning and real-time data processing. Soumya began the professional journey as a Programmer Analyst at Infosys Technologies Ltd and later held senior technical positions at the Software Engineering Institute at Carnegie Mellon University. Soumya holds a Master's degree in Software Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from Sambalpur University, complemented by a brief study in Physics at St. Stephen's College, Delhi.
