Alan Cooper

Alan Cooper is a seasoned professional in business development and digital project management, currently serving as the Digital Roadmap Project Lead at Swim England since April 2025. Previously, Alan founded Freestyle in January 1996, where significant contributions included leading business development efforts and ultimately exiting the company. Alan held various roles at Freestyle, including Director of Business Development in Paris, where responsibilities encompassed the expansion into the European market. Earlier career experience includes founding and managing Freestyle Productions/Tall Order as Owner and Producer, where Alan grew the startup to a twelve-person team with international clientele, and serving as Head of Video Unit at Cogent Elliott, establishing the agency's in-house video production capabilities. Alan's educational background includes a BA Hons in Psychology/Sociology from the University of Leeds and secondary education at King Edwards Camp Hill, Birmingham.
