Gary Barclay

Gary Barclay is an accomplished sports executive with extensive experience in high-performance pathways, coaching, and participation in swimming and water polo. Currently serving as the Executive General Manager at Swimming Australia since March 2022, Gary is focused on driving growth from grassroots to national team levels. Previous roles include General Manager of Performance Pathways at Victorian Phoenix Water Polo Club and Chief Executive Officer at both Nunawading Swimming Club and Towards Success Pty Ltd. Gary also has a strong history of leadership in various capacities with Swimming Australia and has laid the foundation for one of Australia's leading swimming clubs, CA Tritons. Gary holds an MBA in Sport Management from Deakin University and a Bachelor of Business in Marketing & Law from Swinburne University of Technology.
