Michael Caputo

Michael Caputo, CPA has extensive work experience in finance and accounting roles. Michael is currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer for both TYR Sport, Inc. and Swimwear Anywhere Inc. Prior to these roles, they held the position of Chief Financial Officer at Tara Toy Corporation, where they were responsible for overseeing all back office functions and managing external relationships.

Before their role at Tara Toy Corporation, Caputo was the President and principal owner of Caputo LLC, a boutique tax, accounting, and consulting firm. Michael specialized in providing tax, accounting, and systems implementation services to small and growing businesses, as well as personal income tax and financial consulting for individuals.

Caputo also served as the Acting Chief Financial Officer for Lax World LLC, where they analyzed potential acquisitions and integrated completed deals. Michael held the position of CFO at Maharam Fabric Corp, a $100+ million international wholesale textile company, where they were responsible for leading all back office functions and engaging in corporate strategic planning.

Prior to these roles, Caputo was the Vice President, Controller at Barnes & Noble, Inc./Barnes & Noble.com, where they oversaw the finance and reporting function and was involved in the company's public offering. Michael also served as the Controller at Bankamerica Mortgage Corp, where they managed the transition of systems and coordinated audits.

Caputo began their career at EY as an Audit Manager, where they performed audits and reviews for public and private companies across various industries. Michael also chaired the implementation of audit automation techniques.

Michael Caputo, CPA earned their Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from LIU Post, where they studied from 1984 to 1988. Michael later obtained the Certified Public Accountant certification from the state of New York in April 1991.
