Andrew Haig

Andrew Haig is an accomplished academic and design professional currently serving as the Department Chair and Senior Lecturer in Communication Design at Swinburne University of Technology since August 2019. Responsibilities include managing the department, overseeing academic courses, enhancing the student experience, and advancing research initiatives. Andrew played a significant role in developing the Assessment for Learning (A4L) approach and has extensive teaching experience, having held roles ranging from Sessional Lecturer to Course Director for the Master of Design program. Prior experience includes ownership of design studios, freelance work, and teaching positions at multiple institutions, alongside a solid educational foundation in graphic design and communication design, culminating in a PhD from Swinburne University.
