Dan Ferguson

Dan Ferguson is an experienced professional in the fields of sport, recreation, and community well-being, currently serving as Executive Officer for Parks and Leisure Australia in both the SA/NT and Vic/Tas Regions, while also holding a position on the Partnerships Committee for the Asia-Pacific Society for Physical Activity. As the Founder and Managing Director of theCommunityCollaborative., Dan advocates for collaboration within the industry. Dan's academic pursuits include a PhD candidacy at Swinburne University of Technology, complemented by roles as a Sessional Tutor and Research Assistant. Previous positions include Project Coordinator at the Department of Health & Human Services, Sport and Recreation Participation Officer for the City of Port Phillip, and various consulting roles that focus on community health and recreation planning. Dan holds a Doctorate in Philosophy, along with degrees in Urban Planning and Exercise Science from Deakin University.
