Kath Albury is a Professor of Media and Communication at Swinburne University of Technology, where Kath serves as an ARC Future Fellow from 2022 to 2026, leading the research project on 'Digital and data capabilities for sexual health policy and practice.' With extensive experience at the University of New South Wales from 2007 to 2017 as an Associate Professor, Albury convened several courses and nodes related to media, health narratives, and digital cultures, while also coordinating the Master of Journalism and Communication. Albury’s contributions include involvement with the Sex & Ethics Research and Education Program and the National Rugby League's violence prevention initiatives, among other roles in public health and academic research. Albury holds a PhD in Media and Communications from UNSW and a BA (Hons) in Radio Production and Philosophy of Culture from the University of Technology Sydney.
