Peter Moar is a seasoned professional in the field of engineering and technology, currently serving as the Head of the Space Instrumentation Engineering Group at Swinburne University of Technology since March 2022 and as an Adjunct Professor at La Trobe University since December 2021. As the Regional Director Australasia and Founder of biometrio.earth, Peter leads initiatives focused on carbon offsets and biodiversity conservation using innovative sensor technologies. Peter's previous roles include Associate Professor and Director of Global Research and Industry Programs at La Trobe University, Advisor to the Victorian Shadow Minister for Innovation and SMEs, and Director of the RMIT International Industry Experience and Research Program. With a strong background in R&D, innovation, and commercialization, Peter has developed strategic international partnerships and led significant projects throughout a diverse career that includes founding AUSBIRD Ltd and roles in prominent organizations such as Altran Europe and VPIphotonics. Peter holds a Ph.D. in Optical Engineering and a BEng in Electronic Engineering from La Trobe University.
