Professor Sivanes Phillipson

Professor Sivanes Phillipson serves as the Chair of Education at Swinburne University of Technology since February 2018, where leadership of the Swinburne Education team has been a primary focus. In addition to this role, Sivanes Phillipson has held positions as Professor of Education and Acting Chair of the Department of Education at the university. Previously, Professor Phillipson was Dean International, responsible for the internationalization strategies and transnational education at Swinburne. Prior experience includes an Associate Professor position at Monash University from January 2012 to February 2018. Professor Phillipson earned a PhD in Education from the University of New England between 2004 and 2008.
