In 2018, Sarathi joined RMIT University as a Senior Data Warehouse Engineer, where they worked on projects like Contact Tracing and Hyperion Essbase decommissioning. Sarathi then became a Senior Data Warehouse Developer at RMIT, where they integrated multiple source systems and migrated data to Oracle DataMarts and Workday Adaptive Insights.

Currently, Sarathi K. is a Team Lead Data Engineer at Swinburne University of Technology, starting in 2023.

Sarathi K. holds a Masters degree in Information Technology from the University of Technology Sydney, which was obtained between 2008 and 2010. Prior to that, Sarathi K. completed a B.Com. degree in Business from the University of Mumbai between 1993 and 1996. Additionally, Sarathi K. has obtained several certifications including Amazon Web Services' AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate in 2023, IBM Cognos Framework Model - Design Metadata Models from IBM in 2012, and various other certifications in the fields of data warehousing, database administration, and information security management from reputable institutions such as Kimball Group, Microsoft, Oracle, and more.
