Tilak Pokharel

Tilak Pokharel, PhD, MIEAust CPEng NER APEC Engineer, currently serves as the AEFAC Technical and Research Manager at Swinburne University of Technology, where the primary focus is on setting industry standards for anchors and fasteners in Australia. With extensive academic experience, previous roles include Tutor and Researcher at The University of Melbourne, where Tilak instructed various engineering subjects and supervised master's research projects, and Lecturer in Structural Engineering at Khwopa College of Engineering and Janakpur Engineering College. Notably, Tilak represented Australia in the Learning from Earthquake Mission to Nepal post-2015 earthquake and has developed innovative structural systems using blind-bolted connections, publishing several journal papers and presenting at conferences.
