Dianne Shumay, PhD has a diverse work experience spanning over 18 years. Dianne currently holds the role of Head of Psychology at Swing Therapeutics, Inc. since June 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Vice President of Behavioral Science and Clinical and later as the Head of Behavioral Science at Blue Note Therapeutics from January 2021 to April 2023.

Dianne also worked at UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center, where they started as an Assistant Clinical Professor in 2006 and held this position until March 2023. During their time at UCSF Health, Dianne served as the Director of Psycho-Oncology and the medical director of the cancer center's Psycho-Oncology service. In this role, they oversaw psycho-oncology providers, trained graduate students, interns, and medical students, and developed programs for cancer center supportive care and psychosocial services. Dianne'stenure at UCSF Health lasted from December 2006 to September 2022.

Prior to joining UCSF, Dianne worked as a Post Doctoral Fellow at the VA Palo Alto HCS from 2005 to 2006.

Dianne Shumay holds a PhD in Psychology from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from John Carroll University. Dianne also completed an MA in Health Psychology Education from Stanford University.
