Siebe Swart

Siebe Swart is a specialist in elder care with extensive experience in palliative care, chronic somatic care, and geriatric rehabilitation. Currently serving as a specialist ouderengeneeskunde-docent at Leiden University Medical Center, Siebe also provides individual coaching and supervision in the Public Health and Primary Care department. Since 2015, Siebe has held a dual role at Swinhove Groep, further contributing to palliative care initiatives. Previous positions include guest lecturer at Erasmus MC, university lecturer at VU University Medical Center, and involvement in various editorial and leadership roles within the field of palliative care. Siebe earned a PhD in Medicine/Palliative Care from Erasmus University Rotterdam, specializing in palliative sedation practices in the Netherlands, and holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
