Adrian Russo has a wealth of experience in the field of Talent Acquisition. In 2022, they were the VP of Talent at Swish Analytics, where they built Talent and onboarding capacity from zero to one in less than 90 days, implemented career page, evaluated/selected recruiting tools, created recruiting processes, onboarded processes, talent banding, inbound/outbound sourcing strategy, interview processes, and hired a People & Talent team. During this time, they also served as an Advisory Network Member at ChangeEngine and an HR Advisor at Bennie, as well as an Advisory Council at the University of South Florida Muma College of Business. In 2021, they were the Director of Talent Acquisition at Caribou, where they were the first head of Talent and scaled the company from ~200 employees post series A to over 500 employees pre-series C ($1B valuation). Adrian built the talent acquisition capability from one to seven team members in 90 days while simultaneously building recruiting infrastructure, establishing recruiting policies, reviewing/implementing talent systems, and overseeing external vendor relationships. Adrian also developed/submitted Talent Acquisition DEI&B plan to Mogul, resulting in MotoRefi being named to Mogul’s Top 100 Companies with the Best D&I Initiatives in 2021. From 2019 to 2021, they were the Director of Talent Acquisition at T-Rex Solutions, LLC, the largest cloud provider to the fed civ sector as named by Bloomberg. Adrian lead an organic team and a cross-functional team in a matrix organization. From 2015 to 2017, they were the Co-founder and Software Architect at RecruitLocator, where they provided recruiting and staffing support for non-profits, associations, and tech startups. Adrian was also the Talent Acquisition Lead at Fonteva from 2017 to 2019, where they developed talent acquisition and talent management strategy to increase new hires by 82% in 6 months. From 2014 to 2015, they were the Lead Technical Recruiter at Discovery Communications. From 2013 to 2014, they were a Professional & Technical Recruiter at the National Institutes of Health.
Adrian Russo obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Management, General from Excelsior University between 2008 and 2010. Adrian then went on to pursue a Master of Science in Advanced Information Technology & Emerging Technology from Stevenson University between 2013 and 2015. Additionally, Adrian has obtained certifications from Microsoft and Amazon Web Services (AWS), including the Microsoft Technology Associate: IT Infrastructure Certification in August 2014 and the Amazon Web Services Cloud Practitioner in April 2019.
