Olivier Verscheure is a Titular Professor at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) since March 2024 and serves as the Founder and Director of the Swiss Data Science Center, a collaborative initiative with ETH Zurich focused on advancing data science and artificial intelligence. Additionally, Olivier Verscheure is a Member of the Foundation Council at SWITCH, a provider of ICT solutions, and a Board Member at Lonza. From February 2020 to December 2023, Olivier Verscheure contributed as an expert member of the Mobility 4.0 working group for the Federal Roads Office FEDRO, focusing on strategic mobility projects in Switzerland. Prior to these roles, Olivier Verscheure had a lengthy tenure at IBM, where responsibilities included serving as Program Director and Senior Research Manager in Big Data Analytics & Systems. Educational credentials include a PhD and a Master’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from EPFL, alongside a Bachelor of Science from Faculté Polytechnique de Mons.
