Daniel Schmitter

Daniel Schmitter is an accomplished professional in the fields of machine learning, artificial intelligence, and digital product development. Currently serving as the Head of Machine Learning & AI and Head of Digital Products at Pando by Swiss Life, Daniel has been instrumental in building and leading a cross-functional team since joining as the first employee in February 2021. Prior to Pando, Daniel founded and served as CEO of Mirrakoi, successfully developing deep-tech software for various industries. With a PhD in Mathematical Image Processing from EPFL, Daniel has a strong academic background, having also worked as a Doctoral Researcher and lecturer at the same institution, as well as roles in prominent companies like Siemens Healthineers and EPFL.
