Daniel Meier is an experienced professional in the fields of mathematics, computer science, and actuarial science. Currently serving as a member of the Working Group for Actuarial Data Science in the Swiss Association of Actuaries since November 2018, Daniel has held a significant position as L&H R&D Manager and Vice President, Senior Risk Modeller at Swiss Re from February 2020 to January 2020. Previously, Daniel worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Konstanz from October 2003 to November 2008. Daniel's education includes a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Konstanz, achieved summa cum laude, as well as degrees in Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, and Sports, and in Physics from ETH Zurich. Additionally, Daniel attained the Aktuar SAV qualification in Actuarial Science between 2012 and 2013.
