John Koppeser

John Koppeser has extensive experience in finance and accounting, currently serving as Vice President - Senior Controller, IFRS and Projects at Swiss Re since March 2011. Prior to this role, John held the position of Vice President, Group Finance - Planning and Financial Analysis at CUMIS GROUP LIMITED, where responsibilities included enterprise-wide financial planning and leading special projects, notably the sale of the company to the Co-operators. John's career at The CUMIS Group spanned from 1993 to 2008, during which time roles included Vice President - Group Finance - Corporate Controller and Director - Internal Audit, overseeing financial reporting, accounting policy, and operational risk assessments. Additionally, John began his career as a Senior Accountant at KPMG from April 1989 to June 2003. Educational qualifications include a Chartered Accountant designation from the Institute of Chartered Accountants and a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from McMaster University.
