Karen MacAlpine

Karen MacAlpine has over two decades of experience in the insurance and healthcare industries, currently serving as Head of P&C Global Claims Centre of Excellence at Swiss Re since October 2001. Expertise includes account management for global clients, strategic solution design, and effective communication and negotiation capabilities in complex cultural environments. Karen has successfully led cross-functional teams, managed profitable client portfolios, and introduced proactive claims management initiatives. Prior experience includes product management at Medtel Australia, specializing in blood processing equipment, and strong educational qualifications with an MBA from Macquarie Business School, a Bachelor in Nursing from Deakin University, and a Diploma in Applied Science from the University of Sydney.
