Suoror Essop

Suoror Essop is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in leadership roles within the insurance and financial sectors. Currently serving as CFO South Africa and Executive Director at Swiss Re since March 2017, Suoror has also held positions as CFO & COO and CFO & Executive Director for the Africa region at Swiss Re. Prior to joining Swiss Re, Suoror was the Head of Group Management Reporting at MMI Holdings from September 2011 to February 2017, and has worked with Metropolitan Life and New Clicks South Africa in reporting and internal audit roles. Suoror's career began at Ernst & Young, where roles included Audit Manager and Audit Clerk. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Business Science, Accounting and Finance from the University of Cape Town and a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) in Accounting from the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
