Christian Brüggmann has a strong background in the steel industry, with their most recent role as the Vice President of Operations at the Swiss Steel Group. Prior to this, they served as the Executive Director of Steel Production at SIJ - Slovenian Steel Group and as the Operations Manager at Lech-Stahlwerke GmbH. Christian also gained experience as a Process Engineer at Outokumpu and thyssenkrupp Steel, specializing in metallurgy and quality assurance. Christian began their career as a Project Engineer at Forschungsgemeinschaft Feuerfest e.V., focusing on refractories for metal refining.
Christian Brüggmann received their Master of Science (MSc) degree in Process Engineering with a specialization in Ceramic Engineering from TU Bergakademie Freiberg in 2006. Christian then furthered their education and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Process Engineering from the same institution in 2011.
