Alexandre Boin

Alexandre Boin is the current Director of Operations & Quality for West Africa at Swisscontact. Alexandre has over fifteen years of experience in the field of international cooperation, specifically in evaluation, monitoring, capitalization of experience, training, coaching, and moderation of workshops.

Mr. Boin began their career as a project officer for Fondation Hirondelle in 2003 before becoming the Deputy CEO of FURKA SA in 1998. In this role, they were responsible for the management and development of the company's IT systems. Alexandre also served as an independent journalist for La Liberté during this time.

In 2005, they became a consultant for the Swiss-South African Cooperation Initiative (SSACI) in Johannesburg. There they conducted ex-post evaluations of professional training projects for young adults coming from poor and previously disadvantaged South African communities.

Most recently, they have been with KEK-CDC Consultants in Zurich as a consultant and partner since 2007. There they are responsible for evaluation and monitoring, capitalization of experience, training and coaching, and moderation of workshops in the field of international cooperation. Alexandre has worked with governmental development cooperation agencies such as the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), as well as with private companies and non-governmental organizations.

Alexandre Boin has a Master of Advanced Studies in Development from EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne), a Postgraduate Diploma in Higher Education and Educational Technology from Université de Fribourg - Universität Freiburg, a Master of Arts in Economics from Université de Fribourg - Universität Freiburg, and a Baccalauréat in Economics from Collège St-Michel.
