Rukhen Azad

Rukhen Azad is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in government relations and urban management. Since August 2018, Rukhen has served as a Senior Advisor at Swisscontact Bangladesh, specializing in government relations and local economic development. Previously, Rukhen worked at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH from January 2015 to July 2018 in various senior advisory roles focused on urban management and governance. Rukhen also held consultancy positions at IHS, Erasmus University Rotterdam, and Hifab, and led a team at BORDA. Rukhen's educational background includes a Diploma in Fiscal Decentralization and Local Government Financial Management from Duke University's Sanford School of Public Policy and a professional course in Participatory Budgeting from Harvard Kennedy School.
