Procurement Logistics and Flight Operations at SwissDrones

Markus Ehrsam has a diverse range of work experience spanning over several decades. Markus'smost recent role was at SwissDrones, where they worked in procurement logistics, flight operations, sales, and customer support since October 2018. Prior to that, they were the owner of PS Modellbau GmbH, a model-building business, from December 2007 onwards. In this role, they managed day-to-day operations, implemented a web-based sales system, and provided customer support.

From 2002 to 2007, Markus worked as an IT Consultant at M&H Informatics, where they contributed to Windows 2000 rollout projects for Novartis and served as a server administrator for Hoffmann-La Roche's global antivirus team. In the early 2000s, they held the position of Technical Manager at Inforca AG, overseeing a client migration project and relocating the company's IT infrastructure.

From 1997 to 2001, Markus served as an IT Manager at Perot Systems AG, leading the relocation of the company's IT department and developing a secure dial-in solution. Markus also gained experience as an IT Administrator at Systor AG in 1997.

In the mid-1990s, Markus held various roles at AAA EDV Beratungs AG, including Support Manager, Office Manager, Purchaser, Technology Manager, and Internal IT Manager. Markus started their career as a Field Technician at Ascom Telematik AG in 1994 and NCR Switzerland CSD in 1988.

Prior to that, Markus gained experience in electronic circuit testing and fixture construction at ENDRESS ET HAUSER FLOWTEC AG in 1987.

Markus Ehrsam began their education with a four-year apprenticeship as an Elektromechaniker at Moser-Glaser & Co. AG in Muttenz/BL from 1982 to 1986. Markus then attended ACOS (Aarau) where they focused on becoming an IC-Berater. Markus continued their education at Ascom, specializing in Meridian Telefonvermittlungsanlagen (Northern Telecom). Markus further enhanced their skills by attending various courses at Digicomp. These included Implementing Directory Services using Windows NT Server 4.0, Upgrading Support Skills from Microsoft Windows NT Server 4.0 to Windows 2000, Securing MS Windows NT Server, Database Administration for SQL Server 2000, and Designing a Microsoft Windows 2000 Directory Service Infrastructure. Markus also studied at Learning Tree International (London) and obtained certifications in Windows NT4 Workstation & Server, TCP/IP Internetworking on Windows NT4, Microsoft Systems Management Server 1.2, and Windows NT Optimization & Troubleshooting. Markus later pursued IT Service Management Foundation (ITIL Essentials) at Novartis/KESS and attended an Exchange 2000 course at Solution Factory, specializing in getting it up and running in 2 days.
