Adriaan B. Spierings

Adriaan B. Spierings serves as the Head of Industry Sectors at Swissmem since September 2023, overseeing various sectors including the Swiss Additive Manufacturing Group and medical manufacturing. Previously, Spierings held the position of Group Head of SLM at inspire AG, where responsibilities included acquiring national and international R&D projects and consulting in additive manufacturing. With extensive experience in R&D and project management gained from roles at Empa and Die Schweizerische Post, Spierings has developed strong research, analytical, and organizational skills. Spierings holds a Doctorate and multiple degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Business Administration from ETH Zürich and is focused on advancing additive manufacturing, particularly in metals.
