Christoph Witzig

Christoph Witzig has extensive experience in strategic relations and IT infrastructure within the Swiss higher education sector, currently serving at SWITCH since April 2005 in various leadership roles, including the development of partnerships with Swiss universities and overseeing critical services such as cloud operations and identity management. Prior roles include co-founder and deputy CEO at OPIT Solutions, head of R&D at Tetrag AG, and associate physicist at Brookhaven National Laboratory, where significant contributions were made to major experiments such as PHENIX and E787. Christoph Witzig holds a PhD in high energy physics and a diploma in physics from ETH Zürich, complemented by a leadership development program at Harvard Business School.
