Professional Soccer Player at Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC

Markhus (Duke) Lacroix is an experienced professional in the realm of athlete mental health and sports management, currently serving as an Athlete Mental Health Specialist at Onrise since March 2024 and Vice President of the USL Players Association since November 2022. As part of the USL Players Association, Lacroix plays a crucial role in shaping the organization's structure and participating in Collective Bargaining Agreement negotiations for over 600 members. Lacroix also contributes as Vice President of the United Black Players of the USL since January 2022, focusing on race-related issues within the USL and engaging in community initiatives. A professional soccer player with experience at various clubs, including Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC and Sacramento Republic FC, Lacroix co-founded Walkway Academy, a mentorship program for student-athletes, where Markhus (Duke) also serves as Director of Academics and Recruitment. Lacroix holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Pennsylvania and is pursuing a Master's degree in Sport and Performance Psychology at the University of Western States.
