Michelle Zheng has worked in a variety of roles, beginning with English Assistant at Meten English in 2012. Michelle then worked as a Marketing Consultant at Centec Networks in 2014, followed by a role as Principal Assistant at Madera Group in 2015. Michelle also worked as a Program Staff Member at the National Disability Community in 2015. In 2016, they worked as a Marketing Consultant at DataXoom and a Marketing and Public Relations Intern at Antenna Group. In 2017, they worked as an Opinion Columnist at The Daily Californian and an Associate Yield Analyst and Yield Analyst Intern at CBS Interactive. Most recently, they have been a Customer Success Engineer at Switchboard Software since 2021.

Michelle Zheng attended Dulwich College Suzhou (DCSZ) from 2007 to 2014, where they completed their high school studies. From 2012 to 2014, they also completed their International Baccalaureate. From 2014 to 2018, they attended the University of California, Berkeley and earned two bachelor's degrees in Economics and Communication and Media Studies, as well as a degree in Theatre/Theater.
