Gary Ruddell

Gary Ruddell is the Co-Founder and Creative Director at Switchfire, starting in 2022. Prior to that, he was as the EMEA Cyber Threat Intelligence lead at UBS (formerly Credit Suisse) starting in Singapore in December 2018. Before that, they were a Senior Cyber Threat Intelligence Specialist at Clydesdale Bank from September 2017 to December 2018. Additionally, Gary worked as a Business Risk Officer at State Street from March 2017 to September 2017. Gary also held the position of Senior Risk Analyst at Nationwide Building Society from December 2013 to March 2017. Earlier in their career, Gary was a Security Operations Centre Consultant at WTW in 2013. Gary also served in various roles at the UK Ministry of Defence, including Information Security and Intelligence Manager from August 2011 to February 2013, Operational Intelligence Specialist from 2009 to August 2011, and Communications and Information Systems Specialist from January 2005 to 2009.

Gary Ruddell attended the Defence College of Intelligence, which is affiliated with the U.K. Ministry of Defence, from 2009 to 2010. Gary pursued studies in Operational and Counter Intelligence during this time. In addition to their formal education, Gary has obtained several certifications. Gary became an Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) in July 2019 through Offensive Security. In July 2017, he acquired the eJPT certification from eLearnSecurity. Furthermore, in September 2015, he completed a certification in Risk Management in Financial Services, offered by the Institute of Risk Management. Finally, in December 2016, they gained the CompTIA Security+ certification from CompTIA.
