Rong Xuan Teo

Rong Xuan Teo has a diverse and impressive work experience. The most recent position held was as the Chief Technology Officer at Swizzlabs, where they spearheaded initiatives in the blockchain industry, including architecting a decentralized energy trading platform and implementing blockchain-based supply chain solutions. Prior to that, they served as the Regional Director (East Asia) at the Blockchain Research Institute, advising on strategic initiatives for the region's digital transformation. They also held various roles in different blockchain organizations, including Ambassador at the Asia Blockchain Association, Head of the Innovative & Advancement Sub-Committee at the Blockchain Association Singapore, and Associate Regional Director (South East Asia) at the Blockchain Council. Before entering the blockchain industry, Teo worked as a Staff Officer (Plans) and Detachment Commander (Special Operations) at the Ministry of Defence of Singapore. They also had a brief stint as the CEO of Upstairs Research, a custodial NFT marketplace in Asia, where they achieved significant accomplishments in terms of user base and sales volume. Overall, Teo's experience showcases their expertise in advanced system architecture, engineering, and strategic leadership within the blockchain industry.

Rong Xuan Teo's education history includes a variety of degrees and certifications. In 2016, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Engineering Physics/Applied Physics from the United States Naval Academy. Later, from 2013 to 2017, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Applied Physics at Nanyang Technological University Singapore. In 2021, they completed a Master of Science (MS) degree in Industrial and System Engineering at the National University of Singapore.

Moving on to executive education, in 2022, Rong Xuan Teo attended an executive education course at the Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management. Subsequently, between 2023 and 2025, they pursued an Executive MBA degree in Business Administration and Management, General at INSEAD, Tsinghua University, and the Tsinghua-INSEAD Executive MBA Programme.

In addition to their academic achievements, Rong Xuan Teo has obtained several certifications. In 2011, they earned the Advanced Open Water Diver certification from PADI. In 2016, they obtained the USPA A License from the U.S. Parachute Association (USPA). Furthermore, they received the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification from the CFA Institute in 2019 and the Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert: Data Management and Analytics certification from Microsoft in 2022.
