SWN Consulting helps engineering organizations navigate the human side of scale.

When headcount and complexity outpace leaders’ capacity, familiar patterns show up: decision bottlenecks at the top, brittle senior ICs, conflict‑avoidant directors, and managers who oscillate between over‑functioning and freezing.

From the outside, it looks like a process problem. Underneath, it’s protective patterns under pressure.

I bring a systems‑based lens grounded in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and clinical practice to help organizations work with those patterns directly. Instead of generic leadership trainings, I focus on how leaders’ internal strategies interact with org design and team dynamics.

I partner with:

-VP Engineering and CTOs at scaling software companies
-HR and People leaders responsible for engineering org health
-Founders and exec teams who want to keep shipping without burning out their best people

The work centers on three shifts:

-Reducing decision bottlenecks that route everything to VP Eng / CTO
-Supporting new managers and directors moving from “doing” to “leading”
-Addressing brittle senior behavior and conflict in trauma‑informed, non‑shaming ways

My background includes 10+ years of clinical practice (LCSW, IFS Level 2) with high‑performing adults under pressure. I developed the E.M.B.R.A.C.E.® methodology after seeing the same protective patterns repeat in executives during the pandemic that I’d seen for years in therapy.

My work includes:
-1:1 advisory for VP Eng, CTOs, and People leaders
-Leadership labs for senior ICs and managers
-Targeted support around team dynamics, burnout, and escalation patterns
