Catrine Machi

Catrine Machi is a transportation planning professional with extensive experience in active transportation, urban planning, and mobility consulting. Currently serving as Co-Founder of Swyft Cities since June 2021, Catrine focuses on innovative transportation solutions and community development. Prior to this role, Catrine operated Machi Mobility Consulting, emphasizing human-scale design for bicycle and pedestrian facilities. Catrine held significant positions at Alta Planning + Design, leading the Dallas office and managing various planning projects between 2013 and 2020. Additional experience includes work as a Senior Planner at KTU+A, Fund Development Manager at WalkSanDiego, and Lead Planner at the Bicycle Federation of Wisconsin. Catrine's academic credentials include a Master of Science in Urban Planning and Geography from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
