Karl Davitt has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Karl started their career in 2011 as a Marketing Executive at Allianz Ireland, where they were responsible for brand management, advertising management, and social media activities. In 2013, while completing their Masters Degree in Marketing, they worked as a Marketing Tutor at DCU Business School, teaching tutorials on marketing concepts and market research techniques.
After that, Karl joined Insightful Media in 2014 as a Marketing Intern, where they researched and planned strategies for expanding the agency's services. Karl then returned to DCU Business School as a Lecturing Assistant in the Marketing Group, facilitating student learning and managing student expectations across various marketing modules.
In 2015, Karl worked as a Research Assistant at DCU Business School, conducting quantitative research and assisting in the analysis of survey responses and data sets for a study on Process Improvement Initiatives in the Irish Healthcare sector.
Moving into the digital marketing field, Karl joined Effective Spend in 2015 as a Digital Media Specialist and progressively moved up to roles such as Digital Media Strategist, Digital Media Manager, and Senior Digital Media Manager. In these positions, they developed and implemented digital marketing strategies, coordinated the implementation of paid search and social media campaigns, and held responsibility for client performance and managing a team of digital media specialists.
Most recently, Karl joined Swyft Filings in 2019 as the Director of Marketing, where they worked on developing and implementing digital marketing strategies for achieving company goals. Karl also focused on building strategic partnerships and developing relationships for mutual success.
Throughout their career, Karl has gained extensive experience in digital marketing, strategy development, client management, research, and teaching.
