Claudette Godfrey

Claudette Godfrey has extensive work experience in the film industry, primarily in roles related to film programming and coordination. Claudette currently holds the position of VP of Film & TV at SXSW, where they oversee film submissions, manages the organizational aspects of the festival, and plays a key role in programming decisions. Claudette has been with SXSW since 2006, starting as a Film Technical Coordinator Assistant before progressing to roles such as Short Film Programmer & Operations Manager and Senior Film Programmer. Claudette has also worked at the CineVegas Film Festival as a Corporate Relations Coordinator, where they assisted sponsors and prepared post-festival reports. With a degree in Film from the University of Texas, Claudette has extensive experience and involvement in various film festivals, serving as a juror and speaker at notable events such as TIFF, Busan, and Palm Springs Shortsfest. Their expertise and passion for film programming make their a valuable asset to the industry.

Claudette Godfrey obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Radio-Television-Film (RTF) from The University of Texas at Austin, completing their studies from 2004 to 2008.
