Julia Shatilo

Julia Shatilo's work experience includes various roles at SXSW, where they worked from 2014 to the present. Julia started as an Assistant Program Coordinator and eventually became the Senior Programming Manager and later the Programming Director for SXSW EDU. Julia also worked in Press & Publicity at SXSW EDU. Prior to their time at SXSW, Julia worked at The British Museum as a Corporate Relations Assistant and Intern. Julia also gained experience as a Talent Intern at ID Public Relations and had a role in media and public relations at Texas 4000 for Cancer. Julia also had internships at SXSW as a Sponsor Registration Intern and at Giant Noise as a Public Relations Intern.

Julia Shatilo completed their education with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Public Relations and History from The University of Texas at Austin, spanning from 2008 to 2012. Following this, they pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Cultural and Creative Industries from King's College London, which they obtained between 2012 and 2014. In December 2019, they also earned a Management and Leadership Essentials Certificate from The University of Texas at Austin - Center for Professional Education (CPE).
