Katy Kavanaugh

Katy Kavanaugh has several years of experience in finance and accounting. Katy currently works at SXSW as the Controller/Head of Finance & Accounting since October 2021. Prior to that, they worked at SXSW as an Accounting Manager from July 2017 to October 2021. Before joining SXSW, Katy worked at Catapult Systems as a Staff Accountant from August 2016 to July 2017 and as an Accounting Assistant II from July 2014 to August 2016. Katy also served as the Office Manager/Bookkeeper at Acclaim Sign + Display from September 2013 to June 2014. Earlier in their career, Katy worked at Rainstorm Studio as a Studio Manager/Audio Engineer from 2003 to 2012.

Katy Kavanaugh started their education at the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences from 2002 to 2004, where they studied Audio Engineering. Following that, they attended Bellevue College from 2012 to 2014 and obtained an Associate's Degree in Accounting. Subsequently, they pursued their Bachelor's Degree at Eastern Oregon University from 2014 to 2016, majoring in Accounting and Business/Management.
