Shar McLeod

Shar McLeod is an experienced design professional specializing in experiential and graphic design. Currently an Experiential Designer at SXSW since October 2021, McLeod creates contemporary and user-friendly communications encompassing motion graphics and signage. Previous roles include Graphic Designer at Comedy Central from June 2016 to September 2019, where McLeod crafted media for various advertising platforms and played a key role in developing promotional strategies for popular shows. Earlier positions include Graphic Designer at SXSW from November 2014 to May 2016 and Editorial Designer at The Michigan Citizen from June 2005 to August 2014, focusing on print and digital creative and editorial layouts, respectively. McLeod holds a BFA in Graphic Design from the College for Creative Studies, completed in 2005, and attended The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art in 1998-1999.
