Hazruddin Hassan

Hazruddin Hassan has extensive work experience in the insurance industry. Hazruddin started their career as a Risk Engineer at Malaysia National Insurance Berhad in 1998 and worked there until 2001. Hazruddin then joined Allianz as the Head of Property from 2001 to 2008. Following that, they worked at Swiss Re as a Vice President for a brief period in 2008. Hazruddin then moved on to MAA Takaful Berhad, where they served as Vice President from 2008 to 2016. From 2016 to 2019, they worked at Zurich General Insurance & Takaful Malaysia as the Chief Underwriting Officer, responsible for managing the underwriting portfolio and developing business strategies. Currently, Hazruddin is employed at Syarikat Takaful Malaysia Berhad, where they have held the roles of Chief Operating Officer from 2019 to 2021 and Chief Marketing Officer since March 2021.

Hazruddin Hassan started their education in 1988 at La Salle Secondary School, where they obtained a Certificate of Lower Education. Hazruddin then attended MARA Junior Science College (MRSM) from 1991 to 1992, earning a Certificate of Higher Education. In 1993 and 1994, Hazruddin attended MARA Science College, obtaining a Foundation Year Certificate. From 1995 to 1997, they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Queensland. Finally, in 2001 and 2002, Hazruddin completed their Master's in Business Administration with a focus on Finance at Charles Sturt University.
