Managing Partner at Sycamore Ventures

Kilin is the Chairman Emeritus and co-founder of Sycamore Ventures. With Peter Gerry and late John Whitman, Kilin founded Sycamore Ventures in 1995. He founded Sycamore Asia Management in 2000 upon Sycamore’s launch of the AsiaStar IT Fund and was the Asia-based co-Fund Manager overseeing the five Sycamore branches in Asia.

Together with Dr. Stephen Sun Chiao and the team he built in Asia, Sycamore was able to raise and close the very successful AsiaStar IT Fund.

Prior to co-founding Sycamore, he was Vice President of Citigroup Venture Capital and President of Citicorp Investments. He was a senior executive of major worldwide technology companies such as Philips, RCA, AT&T and Digital Equipment, working in research and development, manufacturing and marketing.

He has invested and worked with numerous Asian entrepreneurs including the founders of Acer Group and Asus. He has an extensive contact base in both the United States and Asia and speaks more than seven languages.

Kilin received his MS in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University and a MS degree of Business Administration from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.

Successful investments include Celadon, EASYLINK, Logic Vision, MAKO Surgical and Southern Graphics in the United States and Acer Group, Home Inns, Asus, Sakura in Asia.
