Anita Govender CPEng MAICD is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in managing engineering and design projects across various sectors. Currently serving as Deputy Executive Director of Engineering and Design Management at Sydney Metro since May 2023, Anita has previously held significant roles including Project Manager for Pacific Partnerships on the Central West Orana Renewable Energy Zone's Transmission Network and Design Manager for Systems Connect at UGL, involved in key projects for Sydney Metro. Notable past positions include Rail Design Manager at AECOM and Project Director at GIBB (Pty) Ltd, where Anita achieved recognition as the first female Director in the Transport business. Anita's career began at Metrorail as a graduate engineer, and Anita holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronic Engineering from the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
