Daniel Powrie

Daniel Powrie is an accomplished project director with extensive experience in large-scale infrastructure projects. Currently serving as Project Director at Sydney Metro since October 2019, Daniel has played a pivotal role in connecting Greater Parramatta with the Sydney CBD, significantly enhancing rail capacity and supporting urban growth. Prior to this, Daniel held key positions including Delivery Director for the Sydney Metro South West project with Transport for NSW and Principal Manager for the NorthConnex project at Roads and Maritime Services. Daniel’s earlier career includes roles with Thiess John Holland and Costain, where notable projects involved complex construction challenges such as the Farringdon Railway Station and the Church Village Bypass. Daniel holds a 2.1 degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Dundee, completed in 1995.
