David Virtue

David Virtue is an accomplished environmental professional currently serving as the Senior Advisor Contamination at Sydney Metro since July 2020. In this role, David provides strategic technical and risk mitigation advice on contamination, waste, and planning matters for major projects, including the City & Southwest and Western Sydney Airport Projects. David briefly acted as the Director Environment in September 2022, overseeing a team of nearly 40 environmental professionals across various project phases. Prior experience includes project management at Jemena, specializing in remediation, and serving as a Managing Environmental Consultant at Prensa Pty Ltd, focusing on contaminated land assessment. David's career began as an Environmental Scientist at Parsons Brinckerhoff. David holds a Bachelor of Environmental Science (Advanced) Honours from the University of Wollongong and completed a short course on infrastructure project delivery at the University of Technology Sydney.
