Melissa King is an experienced professional in artistic planning, currently serving as the Director of Artistic Planning at the Sydney Symphony Orchestra since June 2020. Previously, Melissa held the same position at the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra from May 2018 to June 2020, and also served as Senior Manager of Artistic Planning during the same tenure. Prior to this, Melissa was the CEO of Craft Victoria for a brief period in 2017 and spent over thirteen years at the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, where the role of Head of Artistic Planning was held from February 2004 to January 2017.
