Nigel Poulton

Nigel Poulton is an accomplished Movement and Intimacy Director and Fight Director with extensive experience in theatre and performance arts. Since 2008, Nigel has been affiliated with Sydney Theatre Company, providing expertise in movement and fight direction. Concurrently, Nigel has served as a Movement and Fight Director at Bell Shakespeare since 2002 and has been a Movement & Fight Director at Belvoir Street Theatre since 2017. Experience also includes the role of Fight Director at the Metropolitan Opera since 2009 and involvement as a Fight Coordinator, Intimacy Coordinator, Movement Director, and Performer at Work since 1990. From 2007 to 2012, Nigel contributed as a Fight Director for New York City Ballet and served as a Stage Combat and Movement instructor at the University of Southern Queensland from 2001 to 2011. Educational achievements include training from Intimacy Directors International and the Martinez Academy of Arms.
