Layla Hosseini

Layla Hosseini has extensive experience in project management and engineering, currently serving as a Project Manager and previously as a Project Engineer at Sydney Water since January 2020. With a background at Aurecon as a Senior Consultant in the infrastructure advisory team, Layla has focused on water infrastructure projects. Layla has also held roles as a Board Member at AGB firm, where responsibilities included strategic planning and coaching, and as an Engineering Lead at Arad Group International, focusing on feasibility studies for mini-refineries. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Newcastle, complemented by a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering. Layla's commitment to mentorship is evident through involvement with HunterWiSE, promoting women's participation in STEM.
