Michael Pavia is responsible for understanding the needs of key markets, and providing strategic direction for the growth of Sydor Technologies. Over the years, he has grown the company into a leader in high-performance imaging, diagnostics, and measurement systems for government agencies around the world.

Michael encourages his staff to work smarter (not harder). He surrounds himself with smart, talented people—and provides them with a creative environment to solve mission-critical problems and empowers them to drive success. In his role of developing the growth of Sydor Technologies, Michael is also responsible for guiding the disciplined, targeted acquisition strategy that aims to minimize risk, yet foster innovation to reach new customers around the globe— and better serve existing ones.

Michael is a global business and technology executive with over 30 years experience in photonics and imaging. Prior to founding Sydor Technologies, Michael held key positions in laser fusion systems, semiconductor capital equipment, and satellite remote sensing systems. In a senior role at Eastman Kodak Company, he was responsible for launching products on a global basis as the worldwide marketing manager of a $1.5B strategic product group. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Optical Engineering from the University of Rochester.
