Andrew Ghattas

Andrew Ghattas has a diverse and extensive work experience in the media production industry. Andrew began their career in 2008 as a Director of Photography at Aghapy Coptic TV Channel, where they oversaw the camera crew and handled light design and camera setup. Andrew then worked as a Television Cameraman at Integrity Production House, where they again led the camera crew and managed lighting outlets and cameramen.

Andrew later worked as a News Cameraman at Al Tahrir TV Channel and CBC Egypt, where they covered various events such as street reports, presidential elections, and political events. During this time, they gained valuable experience in experimental live broadcasting.

In 2016, Andrew took on the role of Media Manager for President Abd El Fattah El Sisi's official youth campaign, where they specialized in media coverage and captured public opinion during the 2014 presidential elections.

Andrew also worked as a Filmmaker, Producer, Director, and Director of Photography at Focus Media Productions, a media production agency that brought clients' dreams to life.

Andrew's more recent experiences include working as a Media Production Manager at iPROTK group, where they oversaw the entire production process from pre to post-production, and as an Art Director at SYE English Community.

Currently, Andrew works as a Media Creator at the Hollywood Arab Film Festival.

Andrew Ghattas earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication/Media Studies from the Faculty of Mass Media and Communications between 2010 and 2014. Andrew then obtained additional certifications, including a Certificate of acknowledgment from the Egyptian association for friends of Bibliotheca Alexandrina in September 2014, a Certificate of appreciation from President Abd El Fattah El Sisi official youth campaign in August 2014, and a Certificate of appreciation from Bibliotheca Alexandrina in October 2012. Currently, Andrew is pursuing a Master of Fine Arts degree in Filmmaking and Screenwriting at MasterClass, starting in 2023.
